Job summary

val's services in Houston, TX is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Machining Engineer to implement manufacturing strategies by integrating advanced technologies, automation, and precision CNC processes.

You will optimize machining, lead new equipment sourcing, drive robotics/cobots deployment, support launches, and collaborate with suppliers to improve efficiency, quality, and cost. Strong problem-solving, safety awareness, and CAD/metrology experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or 10 years of related experience.
• At least 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience focused on CNC machining and automation.
• Expertise in automation equipment, metrology systems, and CAD software.
• Strong understanding of shop operations, problem-solving, safety, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, collaboration, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Optimize machining processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
• Lead initiatives for new equipment specification, sourcing, qualification, and production transition.
• Drive automation deployment, including robotics and cobots, to maximize machine utilization.
• Support new product and process launches through technical guidance and hands-on involvement.
• Collaborate across teams, evaluate automation technologies, and partner with suppliers.
• Perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot equipment issues, and support validation protocols.
• Apply project management skills to capital and improvement projects.
