First Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00am-2:30 pm

Objectives

Manufacture parts and components for handheld surgical instruments by programming, setting up and operating manual and CNC metal machining.

Responsibilities

• Program, set-up and operate manual and CNC metal machining.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Machine Shop Certificate or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 4 years' experience at Journeyman level
• Set-up and operate manual and less sophisticated CNC metal machining equipment, including Vertical Mills, Horizontal Mills, Laser Cutter
• Able to build new tooling and repair old tooling
• Use measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gage pins, and optical comparators
• Ability to visualize shapes, follow manufacturing procedures, manual machining of metal, and programming experience with manual and CNC machines
• Excellent manual dexterity, ability to read blueprints, and sharp tooling skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in building tooling, Laser Welder, EDM, Citizen Swiss Lathes, Tsugami Lathes, Basic CNC Lathes
