Job summary

GM Performance Power Units in Concord, NC seeks an experienced CNC Machine Maintenance & Repair Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CNC equipment including GROB, DMG MORI, and SLM machines, plus Atlas Copco air compressors.

The role requires strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, reading schematics, performing preventive maintenance, and root-cause analysis. You will document repairs, work with OEM support, and help improve uptime in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Experience maintaining and repairing CNC machine tools or automated equipment
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of CNC controls, PLCs, servo systems, hydraulics and pneumatics
Ability to use electrical diagnostic equipment and maintenance tools
Ability to work independently and respond quickly to breakdowns
Experience with GROB, DMG MORI, SLM and/or Siemens controls preferred
Technical degree or industrial maintenance training preferred

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair GROB, DMG MORI, and SLM equipment
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC control issues
Read electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and mechanical drawings
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance
Document repairs and maintenance activities and communicate issues/remedies to management
