Job summary
Aerotek is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a fast-paced manufacturing client in Alaska. The role installs, maintains, and repairs CNC and manual machining centers while supporting general facility maintenance in a high-demand environment.
You will read blueprints, schematics, and manuals; perform preventative maintenance; troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues; and coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime. Shifts run 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Mon–Fri, with overtime as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience with industrial maintenance in manufacturing.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
- Experience with CNC equipment and machining centers.
- Familiar with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Commitment to safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot CNC and manual machinery.
- Perform preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns.
- Respond to emergency repairs to restore production quickly.
- Read manuals and diagrams to diagnose issues.
- Use precision tools to verify tolerances.
- Operate shop equipment safely and maintain a clean workspace.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime.
