Job summary

Vickers Engineering, Inc. in New Troy, MI seeks a Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift) to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment.

Responsibilities include diagnosing problems, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting safe operations. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 4 years of production maintenance experience; PLC experience and Fanuc controls are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma/GED and 4 years production maintenance experience.
• Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with PLC experience.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production CNC lathes and mills (horizontal/vertical) and plant facilities.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and perform scheduled maintenance during machine service.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment.
• Detect faulty operations, report issues to supervision and maintain safe work areas.
