Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a CNC Maintenance Technician in Cincinnati, OH for a 1st shift role. Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment with CNC equipment.
  • Hands-on preventive maintenance on CNC lathes and mills with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read OEM manuals, electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
  • Proficiency using precision measuring tools and CMMS to document activities and equipment history.
  • LOTO procedures and safety practices; OSHA 10/30 and forklift certification preferred or willing to obtain.
  • Experience with Mazak, Haas, Okuma, Doosan or similar CNC equipment; aerospace/AS9100 and heat treat maintenance a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC lathes, mills, and manual machining equipment per OEM specs and procedures.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and coolant systems to maximize uptime.
  • Calibrate machine geometry, alignment, and tooling using precision instruments and document maintenance in CMMS.
  • Monitor coolant systems, perform concentration testing and changeouts, ensure proper disposal per environmental and safety regs.
  • Identify wear trends, recommend preventative improvements, and coordinate complex repairs with OEM support.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of heat treat and furnace equipment, including calibration support and inspections.

Job description

CNC Maintenance Technician

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Shift: 1st

Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC lathes, mills, and manual machining equipment according to OEM specifications and company procedures.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and coolant systems to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Calibrate machine geometry, alignment, and tooling using precision measuring instruments while documenting maintenance activities in the CMMS.
  • Monitor coolant systems, perform concentration testing and changeouts, and ensure proper disposal in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Identify equipment wear trends, recommend preventative improvements, and coordinate complex repairs with OEM technical support when necessary.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of heat treat and furnace equipment, including calibration support and system inspections.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 3 years maintaining CNC machining equipment.
  • Hands‑on experience performing preventive maintenance on CNC lathes and mills with strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret OEM manuals, electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
  • Proficiency using precision measuring tools and CMMS software to document maintenance activities and equipment history.
  • Working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and industrial safety practices; OSHA 10/30 certification and forklift certification are preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience with Mazak, Haas, Okuma, Doosan, or similar CNC equipment is preferred; aerospace manufacturing, AS9100, and heat treat/furnace maintenance experience are a plus.
