Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Manager in Butner, NC to lead the Maintenance Department in support of safety, quality, and productivity goals.

You will program, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment, including CNC machines, while promoting reliability and efficiency. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, data organization, and potential involvement in staffing decisions.

Qualifications

• Post-high school education is required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in machine repair and maintenance; 1–3 years of experience managing people.
• Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology, and welding.
• Working knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures and practices.
• Working knowledge of precision tools, measuring instruments, and other hand tools.
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and other business software.

Responsibilities

• Program input/output and maintain and repair CNC manufacturing equipment and facilities.
• Troubleshoot machine hardware and software problems using CNC skills and schematics.
• Minimize downtime by completing preventive maintenance and addressing issues quickly.
• Maintain and organize machine and maintenance data for use by others.
• Promote quality improvements and provide training when required.
• Demonstrate leadership in attendance, work ethic, and change management.
• May participate in recruitment, train staff, evaluate performance, and recommend promotions or transfers.
