Job summary

Orchid Orthopedic Solutions is seeking a CNC Machinist for the Arab, Alabama site. The role focuses on operating multi-axis CNC equipment to manufacture precision medical components for joint, spine, and trauma procedures.

The position requires attention to detail and the ability to read X, Y, Z coordinates, operate mills and lathes, and manage daily maintenance and documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School or Equivalent education required (preferred).
• Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience in Medical Device Manufacturing preferred.
• 1+ year operating machining equipment in manufacturing (preferred).
• Experience operating CNC mills or lathes independently (required).
• Experience using measuring tools (calipers, height gauge, indicator) (required).
• Experience reading basic blueprints (required).
• Machining trade school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic machining functions to produce parts.
• Operates multiple machines simultaneously.
• Monitors machine to ensure proper program performance.
• Completes shop work orders, inspection docs, and daily maintenance sheets.
• Makes off sets and adjustments to machines with moderate supervision.
• Advocates for health and safety of self and others.

Schedule: Friday Sunday | 5:30 PM 5:30 AM
Starting Pay: $20.00/hour

Additional Pay: 11% Weekend Shift Premium plus $8 per hour Shift Differential

A BRIEF OVERVIEW

As a CNC Machinist , you will play a key role in manufacturing medical device components by operating multi-axis CNC equipment. This position requires the ability to identify and work with X, Y, Z, and zero coordinates while operating multiple CNC machines simultaneously, including mills, lathes, and plunge machines.

We’re looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and committed to producing high-quality products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Performs basic machining functions to produce parts.
• Operates multiple machines simultaneously.
• Monitors the machine to ensure proper program performance.
• Completes shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.
• Makes off sets and adjustments to machines with moderate supervision.
