CNC Machinist, Team Lead (Manufacturing)
CNC Machinist Responsibilities:
- Perform all duties associated with a CNC Machine Operator.
- Follow operation sequences and setup requirements independently.
- Set machine and tool offsets; verify offsets on non-First Article parts.
- Provide technical assistance and coaching to CNC Machine Operators.
- Adhere to Production Dispatch List and meet production metrics.
- Stage materials, tools, and fixtures efficiently to support production schedules and minimize changeover times.
- Offer feedback to Engineering and Quality teams to improve processes and reduce cycle times.
- Troubleshoot and reestablish work and tool offsets to ensure production quality; report machine malfunctions to Maintenance or Application support.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision.
Team Lead Responsibilities:
- Receive and communicate daily objectives from the Production/Operation Supervisor or Engineering Manager.
- Oversee daily workflow and instruct team members accordingly.
- Monitor and report incidents related to safety, quality, employee performance, equipment malfunctions, attendance, and progress towards team goals.
- Assist with employee time-tracking and labor balancing tasks.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback, documenting coaching and corrective actions.
- Coach team members on training assignments and verify completion.
- Conduct routine presentations on key metrics.
- Facilitate Safety Talk trainings as assigned.
- Maintain the Ultra C-Lean culture within the team.
- Perform individual contributor tasks as part of the team.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by the Supervisor.
