Job summary

Qualdoc in Ashland, VA is seeking a CNC Machinist with structural steel fabrication experience to support production in a prefab manufacturing environment. You will operate CNC equipment, read blueprints and schematics, and maintain accurate production records.

You will use combination mill/lathe and drill line machines, perform basic machine maintenance, and work with Global Shop ERP to track production data while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Structural steel fabrication experience required.
• Hands-on experience operating CNC equipment (combination mill/lathe and drill line).
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Experience with Global Shop or similar ERP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up CNC machinery to produce structural steel components.
• Work with combination mill/lathe and drill line machines.
• Review blueprints and work orders to determine machining needs.
• Use hand and power tools for machining, fabrication and assembly.
• Make machine adjustments for accuracy and efficiency.
• Check finished parts for dimensions and quality.
• Identify equipment issues and perform basic maintenance.
• Enter production data into Global Shop ERP.
• Collaborate with team to ensure safe, efficient production.
• Follow safety and quality procedures throughout manufacturing.
