CNC MACHINIST (STARLINK) - 2ND SHIFT - LEVEL 4/5

We've only begun to scratch the surface of Starlink's potential global impact and are looking for best-in-class CNC Machinists to help maximize Starlink's utility for communities and businesses around the globe.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for setting up, operating multi-axis CNC machines (mills and lathes) up to and including 5 Axis mills and 6 axis lathes
• Responsible for all types of drilling, tapping and milling and turning
• Completing machining operations from blueprints, drawings and/or verbal instructions
• Responsible for machining complex, tight tolerances parts and various materials
• Material prep, deburring parts, hauling chips, oiling machines, sweeping up and initiating or assisting in organizational tasks

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 7+ years of experience in the setup and operation of CNC machines
• G-code experience

  PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 10+ years of experience in the setup and operation of CNC machines
  • Experience with GD&T or interpreting blueprints/manufacturing drawings
  • Short run, prototype, non-production machining experience
  • Horizontal mill experience
  • Basic programming experience
  • Experience running lathes + live tooling

  ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be available for 10 hour shifts. Estimated shift times: 2nd shift (4:00PM to 2:30AM)
  • Able to lift a minimum of 40lbs. unassisted
  • Able to stand for extended periods- 8 hours min
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and being able to maneuver in tight spaces
  • Repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting

  COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  Pay Range: Level 4: $38.00 - $45.00; Level 5: $43.00 - $52.00. The actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

  Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
