SPACE EXPLORATION TECHNOLOGIES CORP, also known as SpaceX, is seeking a CNC Machinist for the 2nd shift in Redmond, WA. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating multi-axis CNC machines to manufacture components for the Starlink project.

The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience and the ability to interpret blueprints. SpaceX offers a competitive compensation package, including salary ranging from $38 to $52 per hour based on level, in addition to comprehensive benefits.

CNC Machinist (Starlink) - 2nd Shift - Level 4/5

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for setting up, operating multi-axis CNC machines (mills and lathes) up to and including 5 Axis mills and 6 axis lathes
• Responsible for all types of drilling, tapping and milling and turning
• Completing machining operations from blueprints, drawings and/or verbal instructions
• Responsible for machining complex, tight tolerances parts and various materials
• Material prep, deburring parts, hauling chips, oiling machines, sweeping up and initiating or assisting in organizational tasks

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 7+ years of experience in the setup and operation of CNC machines

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 10+ years of experience in the setup and operation of CNC machines
• Experience with GD&T or interpreting blueprints/manufacturing drawings
• Basic programming experience
• Experience running lathes + live tooling

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be available for 10 hour shifts. Estimated shift times: 2nd shift (4:00PM to 2:30AM)
• Able to lift a minimum of 40lbs. unassisted
• Able to stand for extended periods—8 hours min
• Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces
• Repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Pay Range: Level 4: $38.00 - $45.00; Level 5: $43.00 - $52.00
• Base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis based on knowledge, skills, education, and experience
