Job summary

Fairbanks Morse, LLC in Salem, MA is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC mills and lathes on multiple shifts to meet tight tolerances. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of CNC experience, familiarity with Fanuc or Okuma controls, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience operating CNC and/or equivalent machinery.
• Minimum 1-year experience in Fanuc and/or Okuma control.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand engineering requirements.
• Ability to use inspection measuring devices and maintain tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines to manufacture parts to meet engineering drawings.
• Work closely with CNC programmer to ensure programs meet drawing specifications.
• Operate CNC mills and/or lathes under the direction of supervisors.
• Load programs and perform simple edits as needed.
• Adhere to company malpractice and ethics policies.
