Job summary

SMS group Inc in Sinton, Texas, is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up and operate lathes, mills and accessories to produce rolls and other parts meeting QA requirements. The role requires reading blueprints and documenting daily activities.

You will work with CNC and manual machinery, train new staff, and maintain a clean, safe work area while adhering to safety standards. A HS Diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be safety minded and able to work hands-on.
• Ability to set up and operate CNC and manual machinery for metalworking.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lathes and mills to perform parts operations.
• Interpret assembly drawings and blueprints.
• Complete SOP travelers and document daily activities.
• Maintain organized and clean work area.
