Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East in Branford, CT is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up, program, and operate CNC machines, reading blueprints or CAD drawings to produce precision parts. You will troubleshoot, adjust tooling, and verify dimensions with calipers, micrometers, and CMMs, while maintaining quality and safety on the first shift (Mon-Fri, 7am-4pm).

Compensation ranges from $30 to $50 per hour based on experience and skill level, with opportunities to work

Qualifications

Experience as CNC Machinist or similar machining role.
Strong understanding of CNC setup and operation.
Experience creating, editing, and troubleshooting G-code and M-code.
Ability to read mechanical prints, CAD drawings, and specifications.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
Experience with CAD/CAM software, preferably including SolidWorks.
Ability to perform machine setup, calibration, tooling changes, and process adjustments.
Strong knowledge of precision measurement techniques.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machining equipment.
Create, modify, and troubleshoot CNC G-code and M-code programs for complex parts.
Read and interpret mechanical prints, CAD drawings, and specifications.
Perform machine setup, calibration, tooling changes, and process adjustments.
Select and adjust tooling to optimize machining operations.
Use precision measuring equipment to verify dimensions and quality.
Inspect parts during and after machining to meet specs.
Perform manual machining tasks when needed.
