Job summary

Zaniboni Lighting Co. is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for 2nd shift to run jobs on CNC lathes and mills. You will machine aluminum parts and work with Okuma and HAAS machines, including sub-spindle and live tooling, from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM, four days a week.

Responsibilities include in-process inspection, blueprint reading, offset adjustments, and basic machine maintenance. Requires GD&T fluency, algebra/geometry skills, and OSHA-10 certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience operating CNC lathes and mills.
• Familiar with Okuma and HAAS controls.
• Strong algebra, geometry, metric-imperial conversions.
• Fluent in GD&T and blueprint reading.
• Experience in part inspection and quality accountability.
• OSHA 10-hour certification.

Responsibilities

• In-process inspection using calipers and micrometers.
• Adjust offsets and program as needed to maintain tolerances.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Apply shop math to verify part dimensions.
• Perform basic machine maintenance (cleaning, coolant checks).
• Assist with deburring, tapping, and part movement as needed.
• Maintain paperwork and production records.
• Follow safety policies and work safely.

Job description

2nd Shift Schedule: Workweek: 4 days, Monday to Thursday.Hours: 10-hour shift (3:00 PM – 1:30 AM), including a 30-minute lunch break
We are hiring Experienced CNC Machinist to run jobs on CNC Lathes and Mills. Machining parts in aluminum.

We have Okuma and HAAS Machines with sub-spindle and live tooling.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for in process inspection (utilizing calipers, micrometers)
• Responsible for making adjustments to offsets, and program as needed to maintain tolerances.
• Must be able to work off of blueprints
• Must be able to accurately use shop math in checking parts.
• Perform basic maintenance to the machines (clean and maintain, no mechanical repairs - weekly and monthly coolant maintenance)
• You will be expected to help around the shop with deburring, tapping, etc as needed to keep parts moving.
• Maintain all paperwork associated with producing the part and maintaining company records.
• Observe safety policies and procedures and operate in a safe manner.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years experience operating CNC Lathes and Mills. Experience with CNC Okuma and HAAS a plus.
• Working knowledge of Algebra, Geometry and can do metric to imperial conversions.
• General knowledge of G-code and M-code.
• Fluent in GD&T and machining blueprint reading.
• Skilled in part inspection and accountable to quality of parts.
• OSHA 10-hour

Physical Demands:

Must have ability to select, lift, carry and stack products weighing between 30 & 50 pounds. The ability to stand up a total of 10 hours, with breaks, while occasionally bending, stooping, twisting and do repetitive work for 2 to 4 hours at a time.

Stations have anti-fatigue mats and stools available when needed.
