Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs work order activities according to production process procedure.
- Conducts daily equipment maintenance inspections including but not limited to lubrication, fluid checks and additions, chip handling, scrap removal, etc.
- Loads program and verifies procedures as required through DNC; USB; interfaces, etc.
- Performs CNC and ancillary equipment setup; run; and teardown operation procedures to assigned specifications inclusive of bar feeders, tool setups, collet changes, chuck jaw boring, tool touch-off, etc.
- Performs CNC cycle starts and stop procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Conducts single step procedures through CNC program.
- Performs tool insert changes at predetermined intervals accurately and efficiently.
- Performs material loading of equipment including CNCs, VMC, bar feeders, and ancillary equipment.
- Conducts efficient teardown of previous setups through selective removal of unnecessary items.
- Performs edge-breaking and deburring operations as required per operational procedures.
- Accurately locates and verifies proper tools and tool inserts for operation of prescribed CNC program.
- Accurately reads and interprets production prints; measuring devices; performs quality checks on product.
- Gathers and measures parts as produced by CNC operations.
- Reports operational malfunctions including but not limited to equipment failures; equipment damage; scrap; etc.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- Technical/Mechanical coursework in CNC machining including setup.
- 1 to 2 years manufacturing related experiences.
- Skill in operating CNC machinery.
- Accurately read blueprints and use measuring devices such as calipers and micrometer.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good mathematical skills; able to reason and calculate distances and equations.
- Exhibit attention to detail and accuracy.
- Maintain diplomacy and tact in dealing with others.
- Able to follow production process and quality procedures.
