Job description

ARCH Medical Solutions Lehigh Valley (Quakertown, PA location) is looking for CNC Machinists And Programmers.

As a CNC Machinist you willbe responsible for working together with the team to manufacture low to medium quantity surgical instruments using 5-Axis milling machines and other CNC machines. The opportunities range from learning on conversational mills and lathes all the way to programming and operating high-end automated 5-Axis milling machines.

What you’ll do

• CNC Machining: Efficiently operate a lathe, 3-Axis mill, and/or 5-Axis mill to machine parts.
• CNC Setup and Operation: Follow a setup sheet or look at a program on CAM and set up a job.
• Evaluate a part and come up with a plan to effectively make it
  • Experience with HAAS, TRAK, or Heidenhain is a plus.
• CNC Programming: Program 5-Axis milling machines with CAM software such as Fusion 360
• Inspecting your work and adjusting tool and machine offsets to make sure the parts are correct.
• Cutting tool and toolpath knowledge: You may be given the opportunity to push the limits of current cutting tool technology.

What you need to thrive in this role

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Prior experience operating and setting up CNC Mills or Lathes (CNClathe, 3-Axis mill, and/or 5-Axis mill).
• CNC Programming experience preferred (BUT NOT NECESSARY).
• Ability to read and understand blueprints including GD&T tolerancing with profile tolerancing preferred.
• Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction.
• Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, ability to anticipate, think ahead and plan.
• Ability to work in a team, strong interpersonal skills, effective communication skills.
