Job summary

laborup is seeking skilled CNC Machinists to join our precision machining and prototyping shop. You will operate mills and lathes, read blueprints, set up fixtures, and run first article inspections on high-mix, low-volume parts for energy, automotive, and defense applications.

Qualifications

• CNC machining experience on mills or lathes.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints.
• Ability to measure with micrometers, calipers, indicators.
• Consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Set up, fixturing, tooling, and offsets for jobs.
• Read drawings and verify tolerances.
• Read programs at the control to verify tooling and moves.
• Machine prototypes and low-volume parts from new prints.
• Perform first articles and in-process checks.
• Diagnose finish, size, and tool-life issues at the machine.
