Job summary

Patz Corporation in Wisconsin is seeking an experienced CNC/NC machinist to develop programs from complex drawings and to set up and run NC/CNC equipment with close tolerances. You will plan tooling, speeds, feeds, and sequence operations, calibrate tools, and ensure safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include operating lathes and machining centers, maintaining tooling setups, updating CNC setup files, and assisting newer machinists while upholding workplace safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Experience developing CNC/NC programs from complex drawings.
• Ability to set up CNC/Nc equipment to meet tolerances and standards.
• Proficiency with tooling selection, speeds, feeds, and setup procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop CNC and NC programs from complex sectionalized part drawings for NC/CNC equipment.
• Set up NC and CNC equipment to meet tolerances and production standards.
• Plan setup procedures, tooling selections, and spindle speeds; determine information for programming operations.
• Calibrate tool heads and ensure proper tool clearance to avoid damage.
• Use precision measuring instruments to set up, operate, and check work.
• Operate manual machines as required; ensure safety guards and interlocks are used.
• Transfer programs into machines and back up new/updated programs.
• Create and update CNC setup files and assist new machinists.
