Job summary

Jasper Engines & Transmissions is seeking a CNC Machinist to join our Jasper HQ team. The role covers setup, programming, and operation of CNC mills and lathes, with emphasis on fixture placement, tooling processes, and reading blueprints to meet customer specifications.

Candidates should be able to use micrometers and calipers, lift up to 50 lbs, and work a Monday–Friday schedule with potential overtime; experience with CAD drawings and geometric math is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and samples to accurately machine parts.
• Proficient in setup, operation, and programming basics for CNC tools.
• Strong math skills including geometry and trigonometry.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate CNC machines according to blueprints.
• Develop fixture placement and tooling processes for efficient production.
• Read CAD drawings and blueprints to ensure parts meet customer specifications.
• Maintain quality and cleanliness of work area; perform basic maintenance on equipment.
