Aerotek is hiring a CNC Machinist and Programmer in Appleton, WI. The role focuses on operating and programming CNC mills and lathes, performing multiple setups, and ensuring precision per engineering drawings.

You will work on short-run production and support both first and second shift in a family-owned manufacturing environment. We seek candidates with 3+ years of CNC machining and at least 5+ years overall machinist experience, plus strong blueprint reading and inspection skills using

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Programming on CNC mills at-the-machine.
• Experience running CNC mills and performing multiple setups daily.
• Ability to run mills and lathes as needed.
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation of tolerances.
• Proficiency with micrometers and calipers for inspection.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving in machining environments.
• 5+ years of machinist experience overall.
• Experience with short-run production.
• Comfort on first or second shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills and lathes to produce parts per drawings and specs.
• Program CNC mills at the machine; create, edit, and optimize programs.
• Perform multiple daily setups including tooling changes and workholding adjustments.
• Read blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Inspect parts with precision tools to verify conformance.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust for quality and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot machining and programming issues at the machine.
• Support both first and second shift production needs.
• Collaborate with team to prioritize jobs and meet deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area.
