Responsibilities

Performs setup, programming, and operation of CNC machines.
May operate manual machines such as lathes, mills, and profile machines.
Work is diversified, and machining is performed to ordinary tolerances.
Makes programming adjustments to meet specifications.
Monitors machine operation for proper performance.
Reads drawings and instructions to create/repair parts.
Determines dimensions and tolerances from specs and blueprints.
Calculates cutting speeds, feeds, and dimensions.
Pre-sets tools for machining operations.
Rigging and transporting large parts and equipment by crane.
Inspects finished work for conformance to specs.
Maintain clean and safe work area; daily machine upkeep.
