Job summary

Primetals Technologies USA is seeking a CNC Machinist/Programmer at our Ghent, KY facility. You will setup, program, and operate CNC machines and may run manual lathes and mills. Detail-oriented and able to read blueprints and specifications are essential.

Qualifications

• Performs setup, programming, and operation of CNC machines.
• Reads drawings and written instructions to create/rework parts.
• Determines dimensions, tolerances, and machine sequence from blueprints.
• Maintains tool pre-sets and ensures machine runs correctly.
• Ensures accuracy and efficiency with metal parts and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs setup, programming, and operation of CNC machines.
• Operates manual machines such as lathes, mills, and profile machines.
• Works to drawings and specifications and adjusts as needed.
• Monitors machine performance and quality of machined parts.
• Performs housekeeping and daily maintenance checks.
