Job Description: CNC Machinist

Responsibilities:

• CAM programming and operation of all CNC and manual machining equipment.
• CNC machining of parts in metal and plastic.
• Design fixturing and workholding in CAD.
• Ensure part quality and perform inspections.
• Collaborate with design engineers on part functionality and advise on part suitability for Tpokmachining.
• Prepare stock for machining, including selecting material, measuring, and cutting to specified dimensions, then loading into machining centers.
• Handle shipping of finished goods, including notifications via shop management software.
• Perform inspection and assembly of finished parts prior to shipment when needed.
• Maintain shop cleanliness by managing messes and encouraging high standards among staff.
• Deburr, de-glue, de-fixture, bead blast, and perform other finishing processes on parts.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Self-motivated, meticulous, and committed to continuous improvement.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a prototyping environment with advanced CNC machines.
• Mechanically inclined with a passion for building and fixing things.
• Experience operating 3-axis milling equipment.
• Skills in CAM software and CNC programming (Fusion 360, Hypermill, NX preferred).
• Skills in CAD software and fixture design (Fusion 360, Solidworks, NX preferred).
• Self-driven, autonomous, and willing to participate broadly within the shop.
• Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software quickly.
• Creative problem solver capable of efficient and professional work.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating timelines and expectations.
