Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of trades training and up to 12 months of experience required.

We invite you to apply to join a leader in the fluid power industry as a CNC Machinist / Programmer and enjoy company stability, set hours, competitive pay, and great benefits. As a CNC Machinist / Programmer for Fluid Power Sales, you will machine small, medium, and large components for hydraulic cylinders, make drawings of components, and work from damaged/broken/worn parts to obtain correct dimensions. This involves working from drawings, prints, schematics, diagrams, bill of materials, customer specifications, and instructions to plan, layout, and determine methods, materials, and operational sequences for building and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems and assemblies.

Expectations

  • Develop project documentation (Routing) and machine code using applications like MaterCam, VeriCut, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office products
  • Troubleshoot program and machining problems, advise as necessary
  • Work with peers to maintain production schedules
  • Document and maintain tool inventory
  • Work with management to develop best practices, continuous improvement activities, work holding, and tooling
  • Communicate with supervisor if any direction is unclear
  • Set up machining centers according to standard work instructions (Routing)
  • Produce in-tolerance setup pieces
  • Follow TMDR procedures when changes are required
  • Decommission machines after operation
  • Build/tear down tooling as needed
  • Inspect tooling for wear, advise supervision as necessary
  • Maintain tool crib organization and cleanliness
  • Load parts on machines according to standard work instructions
  • Use best practices and SOPs as trained
  • Inspect parts according to standard work instructions
  • Use in-process inspection methods to verify non-conforming material, stop machine and notify supervisor when detected, tag defect, and contain non-conforming material
  • Deburr parts according to standard work instructions, produce desired results, and visually inspect for abnormalities
  • Work in a team environment to achieve production goals, run/clean multiple machines, and collaborate with peers to meet objectives

Requirements

  • Equivalent to one to three years of trades training
  • Over three and up to twelve months of experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
