Job summary

Emerson in Aiken, SC is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate and maintain precision machinery within the Fabrication department. You will work with the Fabrication Supervisor to produce high-quality components and parts while following safety protocols.

The role requires reading blueprints, GD&T, and process documentation, plus setup of CNC machines and routine inspections to ensure conformance and productivity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year CNC machining experience at Machinist I level or similar.
• Ability to read blueprints, GD&T, and process docs.
• Experience with precision measuring equipment and machining calculations.
• Knowledge of CNC setup and operation.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and stop unsafe work and report concerns.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, routers, and process docs.
• Perform dimensional inspections and adjust tooling, feeds, and speeds.
• Set up and operate CNC machining processes to meet safety and quality standards.
• Perform machine setups and changeovers with tooling and offsets.
