Job summary

Emerson in Aiken, SC is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate and maintain precision machinery in the Fabrication department. You will set up CNC processes, interpret drawings, perform inspections, and ensure conformance with specifications while maintaining safety and productivity.

The role offers a starting wage of $30.95 per hour and up based on experience, plus a $1,500 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates and a comprehensive benefits package in a climate-controlled, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year CNC machining experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, GD&T, and process documentation.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment and machining calculations.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and stop work when unsafe conditions exist.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, routers, process documentation, and work instructions.
• Verify revision levels and ensure compliance with drawings and specs.
• Perform dimensional inspections and adjust machining parameters.
• Set up and operate CNC machining processes to meet safety and production goals.
• Perform machine setups and changeovers including tooling installation and offsets.
