Job summary

Saint-Gobain/CertainTeed in the United States seeks a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC machines, edit CNC programs, and inspect parts to blueprint specs. You will review orders, prepare tools, run and document processes, and maintain logs to ensure quality and accuracy.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (or equivalent), hands-on CNC experience with the Multus and other machines, and the ability to meet production deadlines while adhering to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of CNC set-up and operation and CNC program editing.
• Ability to read and interpret orders, charts and blueprints; shop math skills.
• Experience programming and operating the Multus; familiarity with Doosan/Haas/Hardinge/Captain/LB4000 preferred.
• Must work to meet deadlines and ensure on-time, high-quality parts delivery.

Responsibilities

• Read and review customer order instructions and blueprint specifications.
• Set up and operate CNC machines, making machine adjustments as needed.
• Perform own inspections using micrometers, verniers and other gauges.
• Maintain records and logs of processes, materials and results.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
