Job summary

Snap-on Tools is seeking a Machinist to set up and operate CNC and manual equipment in a hands-on manufacturing environment. You will support production of high-quality, close-tolerance parts and tooling, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

The role requires machining experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read blueprints. It includes 2nd shift from 1:30pm to 9:30pm with mandatory overtime, and provides comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Machining experience required.
• Strong mechanical/technical aptitude; enjoys working with tools and equipment.
• Must be able to read blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions.
• Willingness to learn and follow detailed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up CNC and manual machining equipment under supervision.
• Assist in troubleshooting basic tooling and machining issues as skills develop.
• Support the production of close-tolerance fixtures, tools, and gages.
• Read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings (training provided).
• Use precision measurement tools to inspect parts (training provided).
• Follow work instructions, SOPs, and safety guidelines.
• Communicate production or equipment issues to supervisors and team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform basic routine machine maintenance as trained.
• Assist with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing efforts.
