Job summary

HBK is seeking a skilled machinist in Los Angeles, CA to operate CNC lathes and milling centers, inspect parts per blueprints, and ensure quality through QA procedures. The role requires 2–4 years of metal finishing or deburring, and familiarity with Haas, Mazak, and Daewoo machines.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of metal hand finishing or deburring experience.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience with Haas, Mazak and Daewoo preferred.
• Experienced machinist able to apply commonly used concepts, practices, and processes in a Machine Shop environment.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and processes in a Machine Shop environment.
• Able to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Good problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate both CNC lathes and CNC milling machine centers.
• Evaluate parts to match blueprint specifications, such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions.
• Adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Observe operation of machine and verify conformance of machined workpiece to specifications, using measuring instruments such as fixed gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
• Operate bench grinder to sharpen tools.
• Complete daily maintenance.
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Clean and maintain work area.
• Other duties as assigned.
