Atlas Copco is seeking a skilled CNC/Manual Machinist for our Grayling, MI facility. You will read blueprints, set up machines, program with Mastercam, and ensure precision through GD&T while maintaining safety and quality across shifts.

You will mentor junior machinists, collaborate across teams, and contribute to efficient, high-quality production. The role requires strong math, attention to detail, and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• Operating manual machining tools.
• CNC machinery and tooling experience.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings.
• Basic CAD/CAM programming knowledge; Mastercam preferred.
• Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsabilités

• Prepare materials, tooling, and machine setup from blueprints and GD&T.
• Program machines, set tools and offsets, verify parts.
• Setup chucks, fixtures, collets, stops, and vices.
• Measure positions, complete first-run parts and sample workpieces.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work area; follow QA procedures.
• Document actions and communicate across shifts; mentor less experienced machinists.
• Guide newer machinists in safe, high-quality production methods.
