Job summary

laborup is hiring CNC Machinists to join our precision machining and manufacturing team in Claremore, OK. We build advanced custom equipment for the construction, utilities, and semiconductor industries in a modern, climate-controlled, high-mix, low-volume environment where machinists are trusted to develop their skills and own their work.

Operate 3- to 5-axis mills and lathes, perform setups, read blueprints, and validate quality.

Qualifications

1+ years of CNC mill and/or lathe experience.
Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and reliable attendance.
Desire to continue developing your machining skills.

Responsibilities

Machine Operation: Operate CNC mills and lathes ranging from 3- to 5-axis machines, VTLs, HBMs, and mill-turns.
Setups: Perform machine setups by loading fixtures and tooling, establishing work offsets, and preparing for production.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read blueprints, GD&T, and specifications to produce precision components.
Quality Validation: Inspect first articles and production parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges.
Troubleshooting: Resolve machining, tooling, offset, program, and process issues on the fly.
Continuous Improvement: Optimize machining processes, edit G-code at the control, mentor machinists, and support floor improvements.
