Job summary

Cirrus is seeking a Machinist Operator to set up and run CNC mills and lathes, producing precision parts from metal and other materials. You will load materials, adjust cutting tools, and deburr components to drawing specifications with high precision.

You will read and interpret engineering drawings, inspect parts for conformity, and maintain a clean, safe work environment while documenting production data. A 2-year machinist program or equivalent experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 year Machinist vocational program and 0-2 years experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read drawings and follow instructions accurately.
• Solid communication and organization skills.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Safe operation of machine shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.) to produce parts.
• Load materials and adjust tools and offsets as needed.
• Deburr parts to drawing specifications with precision.
• Check fluid levels, manage chips, and monitor equipment for maintenance.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to guide work.
• Inspect finished work and document deviations.
