Job summary

Capewell Aerial Systems LLC in South Windsor, CT is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate CNC mills and lathes, inspect parts, and maintain tooling, records, and equipment.

Requirements include a precision manufacturing program completion and at least 1 year of CNC experience, HAAS familiarity, strong math skills, and good English. Hours are Mon-Thu 6:00–3:30 and every other Fri 6:00–2:30 onsite. The position offers competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Completion of a precision manufacturing program required.
• At least 1 year of experience in CNC manufacturing required.
• Must have experience with CNC Mills.
• Experience with HAAS equipment a plus.
• Able to work with minimum supervision.
• Able to set up and run multiple machines when needed.
• Desire to learn new skills.
• Must have good basic math skills.
• Able to read, write and speak English.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Previous independent work environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills and CNC lathes using vises, fixtures, and rotary indexers.
• Inspect own work with standard gaging.
• Maintain quality and production standards.
• Make tool adjustments and changes.
• Perform secondary operations as required.
• Maintain equipment and/or machinery.
• Assist other operators to maintain production and quality.
• Adhere to safety procedures.
• Fill out inspection, work orders and process records.
• Work toward continual improvement of self and job.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
