Job summary

Capewell Aerial Systems in South Windsor, CT, is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate CNC mills and lathes, inspect parts, and support production targets on a full-time on-site basis. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and adherence to production standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of a precision manufacturing program required.
• At least 1 year of experience in CNC manufacturing required.
• Must have experience with CNC Mills.
• Experience with HAAS equipment a plus.
• Able to work with minimum supervision.
• Able to set up and run multiple machines when needed.
• Desire to learn new skills.
• Must have good basic math skills.
• Able to read, write and speak English.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Previous independent work environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills and lathes with vises, fixtures, and rotary indexers.
• Inspect own work with standard gaging.
• Maintain quality and production standards.
• Make tool adjustments and changes.
• Perform secondary operations as required.
• Maintain equipment and supplies.
• Assist other operators to maintain production and quality.
• Follow safety procedures on the shop floor.
• Fill out inspection, work orders and process records.
• Attend to attendance, punctuality and reliability.
• Aim for continual improvement and value-added work.
