Position Summary

Mill Creek Machining (MCM) is seeking a CNC Machinist for our Paullina, IA location. The CNC Machinist is responsible for producing quality parts on our Doosan, Takamaz, and Mazak lathes. Work Schedule and Compensation

*This position offers overtime and works a schedule of Monday through Thursday from 4:50 pm to 3:50 am. The pay range is $19.00 - $26.00/hr., depending on experience. An additional $3.00 per hour is added for night shift work. A weekly attendance bonus of $44.00 is provided when all scheduled hours are worked.*

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Verify cycle times on all jobs and report discrepancies to the crew chief, annotating on the traveler.
• Verify and set gauging against known standards, ensuring correctness per inspection sheet.
• Ensure all safety devices are in place and functioning properly.
• Inspect machine and work area for proper order and operation.
• Operate machinery according to safe practices.
• Make routine offsets and determine the need for changing inserts, performing the change as needed.
• Change work holding fixtures and tooling as instructed by the crew chief.
• Assist in the preparation and execution of setups as directed.
• Perform all duties of a trainee as assigned by supervision/management.

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to apply basic math concepts.
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Capable of producing precision work.
