Job summary

MMI Engineered Solutions, located in Saline, MI, seeks a driven CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment for injection mold tooling and components. This hands-on role emphasizes quality, safety, and production efficiency in a manufacturing environment. Internal title: CNC Operator.

Work week is Monday–Friday with early morning hours. The job offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for skill development within a growing tooling and engineering services

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with mold tooling or injection molding environments preferred.
• Basic knowledge of CAM software and CNC programming.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and written work instructions.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, indicators).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to cut, shape, and drill metal, plastic, and composite materials.
• Manufacture mold tooling and components using CAD drawings and engineering specifications.
• Load machining programs into CNC equipment using computers and/or USB devices.
• Modify and edit machining programs to improve production efficiency.
• Perform insert changes and tool changes during operation.
• Conduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gage blocks.
