Job summary

CONMED is seeking an experienced CNC/Manual Machinist in Largo, FL to set up and operate a variety of machines with defined setups. You will read blueprints, align fixtures and tooling, and inspect parts to tight tolerances using basic metrology tools.

Responsibilities include in-process inspection, maintaining 5S standards, and assisting with training of less experienced employees while following FDA cGMP/ISO/OSHA guidelines. Strong math and problem‑solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years experience operating CNC production equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret engineering instructions.
• Proficient in metrology tools and basic shop math.
• Willing to follow safety and quality procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machines with defined setups.
• Align fixtures, tools, and parts to specifications and secure them properly.
• Read blueprints and CNC programs to ensure precise part conformance.
• Perform in-process inspection and metrology checks per defined procedures.
• Provide training support to junior operators and maintain 5S and safety standards.
