Job summary

CONMED Corporation seeks an experienced CNC machinist to set up and operate both CNC and manual machines with defined setups. You will read blueprints, perform in-process inspections, and maintain tight tolerances while supporting a variety of manufacturing processes.

Training of junior staff and adherence to quality and safety standards are essential. The role involves a 0-20% travel expectation, and加入 adherence to FDA cGMP, ISO, and OSHA procedures as part of daily operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years experience operating CNC production equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering instructions to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Competency in set-up and operation of multiple machine categories with simple offsets.
• Basic metrology skills and the ability to apply tolerances and machine offsets.
• Willingness to travel 0-20% as required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machines with defined setups and limited supervision.
• Align and secure fixtures, tools, attachments, and materials on machines.
• Read blueprints and instructions to ensure specification conformance.
• Inspect parts using defined processes and perform in-process measurements.
• Identify and resolve machining problems to produce defect-free parts.
• Provide training and technical assistance to less experienced staff.
• Perform additional production tasks including finishing, inspection, packaging, and cleanup.
• Maintain 5S standards and contribute to continuous improvement.
