Job summary

Donson Machine Co, a family-owned medical device manufacturer in Alsip, IL, is seeking a CNC machinist to operate and set up 3-axis/5-axis mills and lathes, run production, and inspect parts for critical dimensions. The role involves working with a fast-paced, medical parts environment and a commitment to quality.

You will read blueprints with GD&T, manipulate G-Code, set offsets, and adjust tooling while maintaining safety and attendance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC setup or operation on lathes or mills.
• Ability to read blueprints (GD&T features such as true position and profile).
• Ability to manipulate G-Code programs, change work offsets, and adjust tool offsets.
• Ability to change, touch-off, and indicate tools for CNC lathes or mills.
• Lift up to 50 lbs; stand/walk up to 90% of the day; bend/twist/reach as needed.
• Work in a shop with potentially hazardous machinery, loud noises, dust, and solvents.
• Be punctual and maintain excellent attendance.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines following department procedures.
• Inspect parts and ensure critical dimensions are met.
• Aim for pre-determined efficiency goals for each part.
• Contribute to process improvements and be proactive in duties.
