Betts Precision in Alsip, IL is seeking a CNC Machinist for day shift. You will set up and operate 3- and 5-axis mills and lathes, read GD&T blueprints, and verify parts to tight tolerances measuring critical dimensions. Expect a fast-paced environment with a high mix of medical parts.

You will progress to meet efficiency targets, run production on assigned machines, and contribute to process improvements while maintaining safety and attendance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC setup or operation experience on lathes or mills.
• Ability to read blueprints including GD&T features like true position and surface profile.
• Ability to manipulate G-Code programs and adjust tool offsets.
• Ability to set up, touch-off, and indicate tools for CNC lathes or mills.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk most of the day.
• Maintain punctuality and attendance in a fast-paced shop environment.

• Inspect parts to ensure critical dimensions are held.
• Hit pre-determined efficiency goals when running machines.
• Be creative and continuously seek process improvements.
