Job summary

HireCall is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate Mazak lathes and mills in Owasso, OK. This full-time role requires independence in setting up tooling, fixtures, offsets, and running high-mix, low-volume work with precision.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of CNC machining experience, preferably with Mazak CNC lathes.
• Ability to independently set up and operate CNC equipment.
• Experience with Mazatrol conversational programming and/or G-code editing.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and machining processes.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Independently set up and operate Mazak CNC lathes, including QT, Nexus, Integrex, or similar machines.
• Set up tooling, fixtures, workholding, and machine offsets.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Make program edits using Mazatrol conversational programming and/or G-code.
• Adjust feeds, speeds, and tooling to optimize machining performance.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot machine alarms, tooling issues, and machining problems.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Complete production records and quality documentation accurately.
• Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
