Job summary

WEISS North America, Inc. in Willoughby, OH is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. The role requires 3+ years in CNC setup and operation, a solid ability to read blueprints, and a strong mechanical aptitude to machine aluminum and steel parts.

You will perform set-ups on a large multi-axis CNC bridge mill, select tooling, maintain tooling, and support high-quality production with a team‑oriented culture and dependable pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of CNC machining experience.
• Knowledge and/or experience with Fanuc CNC controls.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform set-ups for CNC operation.
• CNC machining of parts on large multi-axis CNC horizontal bridge mill.
• Identify necessary tooling and equipment to perform assigned operation.
• Maintain tooling for the machine as needed.
• Prepare dial plates prior to finish operations as needed.
• Operate a tow motor and overhead crane as needed.
• Provide strong customer support as needed.
• Assist in maintaining high quality of Weiss North America products.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Job Description

The CNC Machinist will have a minimum of 3 or more years of experience in a CNC machine setup and operation. A strong mechanical aptitude, great organizational skills, with proficiency reading blueprints are essential for this position. The items to be machined consist of a variety of aluminum and steel plates along with various machine frame weldments.

Job Responsibilities - CNC Machinist

• Perform set‑ups for CNC operation
• CNC machining of parts on large multi‑axis CNC horizontal bridge mill
• Identify the necessary tooling and equipment to perform assigned operation
• Maintain tooling for the machine as needed
• Prep any/all dial plates prior to their finish operations as needed.
• Operate a tow motor on a as need to basis, operate and overhead crane as need be
• Provided strong customer support on a as need basis
• Assist in maintaining the highest quality of product provided by Weiss North America
• Perform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as directed

Desired Skills & Experience - CNC Machinist

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 3-5 years of CNC machining experience
• Knowledge and/or experience with Fanuc CNC controls
• Knowledge and/or experience with CAD/CAM Software is a plus but not required – Esprit is currently used at WEISS
• Advanced ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with a sense of urgency
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Well organized with an aptitude for details and precision machining
• Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment
• Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
• Able to stand or walk for the majority of the day and able to lift 40lbs on a needed basis and up to 75 pounds with assistance
• Able to regularly apply physical mobility (stretching, lifting, bending, twisting, etc.) to perform all assembly related assignments
