Job summary

TotalEnergies in Woburn, MA is seeking a skilled CNC machinist to program and run CNC mills and lathes for prototypes and production. You will source tooling, inspect parts, and ensure dimensional accuracy while maintaining safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced manufacturing cell.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of CNC experience, MasterCam and Haas/Fanuc control familiarity, and a strong ability to read complex drawings. A leadership mindset and team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a self starter with strong initiative.
• High technical aptitude for hardware handling and manual tools.
• Experience with first article inspection and in-process inspection using hand inspection equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and understand geometry and math.
• Able to present to managers and engineers and respond to questions.
• Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills.
• Works well in a team and may take a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Program setup and operate CNC mills and lathes safely and competently.
• Setup jobs for prototypes, first articles, and short-run production.
• Source material and tooling from approved vendors.
• Schedule machine repairs as needed.
• Assist Lathe Operators in the Production Cell.
• Inspect and assemble components to customer requirements.
• Read and interpret drawings, prints, and MB D files.
• Maintain high standards of shop safety, order, and cleanliness.
• Participate in DFM discussions and manufacturing improvements.
• Mentor technicians and engineers on best practices.
• Adhere to Midé policies and procedures.

• Source Material and Tooling from company approved vendors.


• Schedule Machine Repair when needed

• Competently read and interpret drawings, prints, and MBD files


• Efficient personal time management, organization, and task prioritization


• Commitment to maintain high standards of Shop safety, order, and cleanliness

• High technical aptitude for handling hardware, hand and power tools, and mechanical fasteners


• First Article Inspection and in-process inspection using hand inspection equipment


• Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals, good understanding of geometry and math relevant to technical drawings


• Present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, Engineers, etc.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

• MasterCam experience Required (Minimum 3 Years)


• High School Diploma required


• Trade school or manufacturing technical college degree is a plus


• 10+ years CNC mill and lathe experience required


• Haas/Fanuc i Series control experience required


• Conversational Experience with Proto Trak SLX controls is a plus
