Shift: 1 st Shift: 6:00 AM 2:30 PM | 2 nd Shift: 2:30 PM to 10:00 PM

Pay Ranges: $20/hr. to $38/hr. DOE

Location: Riverside, CA.

Job Type: Full-Time, Temp to Hire position

Arrow Staffing is seeking CNC Machinists for multiple skill levels, including CNC Machinist I, CNC Machinist II, and CNC Machinist III Journeyman. The level offered will depend on the candidates CNC machining experience, technical skills, and ability to independently operate and set up CNC equipment.

The CNC Machinist will be responsible for safely operating CNC equipment, following programs and work instructions, inspecting parts, maintaining accurate production documentation, and ensuring quality standards are met.

General Job Duties for the CNC Machinists

• Safely operate CNC machines and properly load and unload parts.
• Follow CNC programs, setup sheets, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Identify part features, dimensions, tooling issues, and quality concerns.
• Maintain accurate production documentation and part traceability.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow company safety and ITAR requirements.
• Monitor machine performance, tooling, and part quality.
• Communicate production or quality concerns to supervision, Programming, or Quality as needed.

Specific Job Duties or Requirements for CNC Machinist I

• Entry-level CNC machining position; 02 years of manufacturing/CNC experience preferred.
• Load and unload CNC machines and follow established CNC programs.
• Follow setup sheets and work instructions.
• Understand basic blueprint information and identify part features and dimensions.
• Perform basic inspections using calipers, micrometers, and basic inspection equipment.
• Perform basic tool/insert checks.
• Make approved basic offsets with supervision.
• Complete travelers and required production documentation.
• Maintain expected production pace and properly load/unload parts.
• Candidates with good mechanical aptitude and no CNC experience may be considered at the lower end of the pay range.

Specific Job Duties or Requirements for CNC Machinist II

• 25 years of CNC machining experience.
• Independently operate CNC machines and load/unload parts and tooling.
• Perform tool changes and basic tool-life management.
• Make routine wear and dimensional offsets.
• Read and interpret production drawings and understand GD&T fundamentals.
• Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Identify tool wear and recognize issues such as poor surface finish, burrs, chatter, and dimensional drift.
• Troubleshoot basic machining problems.Understand feeds, speeds, tooling, and how tool wear can affect part dimensions.
• Meet established production expectations while maintaining machine uptime and minimizing unnecessary downtime.

Specific Job Duties or Requirements for CNC Machinist III Journeyman

• 510+ years of machining experience with substantial CNC setup experience.
• Independently perform complex CNC setups, including workholding/fixture setup and tool selection.
• Establish tool offsets, load and verify programs, and perform program prove-out.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, datum structures, tolerances, and critical features.
• Perform advanced inspection techniques and first-piece inspections.
• Understand feeds and speeds, tooling selection, and material characteristics.
• Troubleshoot machining processes and recognize tool wear or process instability.
• Make appropriate process adjustments to maintain quality and production.
• Verify setup, tooling, workholding, and datums against the drawing and setup sheet.
• Monitor critical dimensions and tool wear while the machine is running.
• Stop production when conditions are questionable and communicate issues to Programming, Quality, or Supervision.
• Meet established cycle-time targets, maintain machine utilization, and identify causes of excessive cycle time.
• Reduce unnecessary setup time and properly manage tooling.
• Take ownership of the quality of the machining process and communicate production problems before they impact delivery.
