Job summary

Elevate Human Capital in the Houston area is seeking a Level 4 CNC Machinist to produce high-quality parts on the night shift, 6:00pm–6:00am, Monday through Saturday (potentially 7 days if needed). The role requires setting up CNC machines, threading premium threads, troubleshooting, training junior machinists, and ensuring precise inspections and traceability.

Pay rate is $20.00–$26.00 per hour. A minimum of three years of CNC machining experience and a high school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

  • Ability to set up CNC machines and perform program edits.
  • Strong commitment to quality and safe manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

  • Set up CNC machines completely and correctly in all aspects of operation.
  • Set up and thread premium threads on a variety of product and material types with minimal supervision.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and edit programs with minimal supervision.
  • Train Level 1–Level 3 CNC Machinists with guidance from supervisors.
  • Perform dimensional inspections of parts to required specs and maintain traceability.
  • Meet KPIs and quality/non-conformance requirements and document findings.
  • Follow all safety policies and complete required training.
  • Support team and perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

EHC is seeking CNC Machinists - Level 4 for a Client in the Houston Area
Night Shift 6:00pm-6:00am Monday through Saturday (must be able to work 7 days if needed)
Pay Rate $20.00-$26.00
Primary Function

As a CNC Machinist, you will safely and efficiently produce high-quality, error-free parts to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and product quality.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set up CNC machines completely and correctly in all aspects of operation.
  • Set up and thread premium threads on a variety of product and material types with minimal supervision.
  • Effectively troubleshoot machining issues and make program edits with minimal supervision.
  • Assist supervisors and leads in training Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 CNC Machinists.
  • Perform dimensional inspections of parts according to required specifications.
  • Maintain product traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Meet or exceed all key performance indicators (KPIs) and related quality and non-conformance requirements.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and timely.
  • Report non-conformances and quality concerns to the supervisor or lead.
  • Follow all workplace safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Tools, Equipment, and Machines
  • Utilize applicable inspection, measuring, and test equipment as specified in work instructions and quality procedures.
Qualifications
Education
  • High school diploma, GED, trade school certification, or equivalent reading and writing skills.
Experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of industry experience as a CNC Machinist.
Proficiency
  • Successful completion of required proficiency assessments and training.
Capability
  • Ability to demonstrate competency and perform all essential job duties within 90 days of hire.
Training Requirements
  • Workplace safety training.
  • Required reading for quality and management system familiarization.
  • Quality system orientation and training.
  • Formal training on work instructions, procedures, and applicable industry standards as outlined in the training matrix.
