Job summary

EnerStaff LLC seeks a skilled Machinist – CNC 3 for our Houston facility. The role focuses on precision machining, threading, and inspection, with responsibilities spanning setup, production, and first-article review on CNC and manual machines.

Night shifts and extended hours are possible to meet production demands. Experience in premium threading and operating various CNC equipment is required for this challenging, hands-on position.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in precision machining and premium/accessory threading.
• Responsible for set up, machining and in-process inspection with high skill.
• Machinist CNC 3 can machine precision components on manual or CNC machines.
• Ability to perform a variety of machining duties with minimal supervision.
• Lead level candidates may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and/or CNC machines at a high proficiency.
• Set up and thread all materials the facility is licensed for on a CNC lathe with no assistance.
• Review first article and obtain required overlays with no assistance.
• Set up and operate all CNC machines at the facility.
• Select tools and gauges for threading or process to be performed.

Job description

Machinist – CNC 3 (Temp-to-Hire)

Location: Houston, TX 77073

Pay: $24-$26/ hour DOE

Shift: 60+ hours/ week

Nightshift available 4pm-4am 5-6 days per week but schedule can vary with production demands

• This position is in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility.

• Must have experience in precision machining and premium/accessory threading, and precision machining and premium/accessory threading.
• Responsible for set up, machining and in-process inspection of a variety of items requiring a high degree of skill and proficiency.
• Machinist CNC 3 personnel can machine precision components on a manual or CNC machine.
• Position requires the ability to perform a variety of machining duties with no direct supervision.
• Level of machinist that could be considered for lead person.

Duties:

• Set up and operate manual and/or CNC machines at a very high level of proficiency.
• Set up and thread “all threads and grades of material” that the Facility is licensed for on a CNC lathe, with no assistance on setup and first article inspection.
• Obtain required over-lays and review first article with no assistance.
• Set up and operate “all” CNC machines at that Facility location.
• Select proper tools and gages for threading or process to be performed.
• Able to adjust machine processes and tooling to optimize cycle time and maintain process control as well as CNC editing on shop floor.
