nVent is seeking a CNC / ACME / Tool & Die Machinist to set up, operate and maintain CNC and/or ACME tooling to produce machined parts according to blueprints. You will follow safety procedures and ensure parts meet high quality standards in a fast-paced plant environment.
Responsibilities include setting up equipment, reading layouts and templates, and performing precision checks with micrometers and calipers. Prior light industrial experience is preferred, with a focus on quality and safety.

As a CNC / ACME / Tool & Die Machinist, youare responsible forsetting up,operating, andmaintainingCNC and or ACME to produce machined parts according to blueprint specifications. nVent expects you to adhere to all safe work procedures and to create parts up to thehighest ofquality standards.
WHATYOU WILLEXPERIENCEIN THIS POSITION:
Sets upandoperatesACME/ CNC / Tool & Die equipment to produce quality machined parts as specified by blueprints, layout, and templates.
Plans sequence of operations applying knowledge of materials.
PerformdutiesrequiredtoassistsetupandoperatemultipleACME / CNC / Tool & Die equipment simultaneously for a variety of machined products.
Work from drawings, route sheets, schedules, written, and verbal instructions.
Check materialforcorrectsizeand type.
Use micrometers, calipers, scales, and fixed gauges to check work in process and ensure adherence to specifications.
Move materials in the performance of duties.
Install and check safety devices as needed for specific jobs.
Report faulty equipment,defectivematerialandunusual conditions tosupervisor.
Complete required quality checks/documents and production documentation.
Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulationsandmaintainworkareain a neat and orderly condition.
Perform other related duties as assigned or directed, which may require more than the normal shift hours or work week to meet company needs.
YOU HAVE:
Knowledge of manufacturingprocesses
Experience following work instructions or readingblueprints
Experience using hand and power tools
Prior experience working in a light industrial facilitypreferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and meet operational deadlines.
