Nesco Resource is partnered with their client to identify a CNC Machinist for an immediate opportunity for a qualified CNC Machinist who is looking for a full-time direct hire opportunity.

Job Description

Our client seeks candidates who are reliable, with a willingness to learn, improve and quickly grow into an Engineering role on 2nd shift. Being a team player is essential as all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. This role will ensure that procedures are carried out smoothly, to maximize efficiency and profits.

Responsibilities:

1. Set-up and run multi-axis machines
2. Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed and feeds)
3. Inspect parts with precision measuring tools
4. Fix issues that might occur during the shift
5. Meet job requirements with minimal supervision

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
2. 5+ years on CNC Lathes
3. Working knowledge of high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
4. Understanding of machining procedures
5. Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
6. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and manuals
7. Strong Mathematical Skills
8. Analytical skills
9. Attention to detail
10. Teamwork and communication skills

Preferred, but not required skills:

1. Experience in the aerospace industry
2. Experience with live tooling machines
3. Programming experience on CAD system
